The Green Party is the first minor party under MMP to survive Government and win 5 per cent of the vote again.
It’s a coming-of-age moment for the Greens and even (at a stretch) a significant coming-of-age moment for the MMP system. No minor party has survived a stint in Government and lived to cross the 5 per cent threshold.

A living wage for artists is one of the leading arts and culture policy items announced by the Green Party
The living wage will be available for artists involved in publicly-funded creative projects, Green Party co-leader James Shaw, said in a statement. The Greens' arts policy also includes a commitment to work with councils, iwi and local groups to ensure there are accessible venues across Aotearoa for people to enjoy all forms of art in their local community.
