A waste of time MP
Todd McClay, likely heading for his fourth term, another three years of doing very little for his home constituency. In his first two terms he journeyed the world on behalf of the National government, forgetting that he had a local constituency with some of the most deprived communities in New Zealand.
Still, he managed to gift $225K of government money to Skyline Enterprises, a very profitable business, to assist them to expand their business to include downhill MTB trails accessed by their gondola's - at a cost most local kids could never afford.
Whilst in opposition he's managed to muster up a couple of petitions about a section of road, and very little else, other than using his friendship with Simon Bridges to have their mutual 'friend', and Todd's former youth MP, Tania Tapsell installed as the candidate for the East Coast electorate.
Of course, the vote Todd banners are all over town, on every small business and on all the rental properties in areas where it's highly unlikely they would support National. At least those are smaller than the multiple 'Support local' signs paid for by Parliamentary services.
